2 Simple Strategies For Volatile Markets - Market Profile Trading | Axia Futures

08:50
Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ Every Sunday evening Brannigan leads a Periscope trader training session to prep for the week ahead, share a trade strategy, and review the Axia Team's focus areas from the week before. In this session we look at two market profile trading strategies to apply in volatile market environments. The first thing to understand when it comes to volatility is that volatility does not mean trend. It just implies a wider variance around the mean price. Volatility has the effect of bringing players into the market quicker than usual which brings about more opportunity, but also higher risk. For these two market profile strategies, we look at examples in the the German 10 Year Bund and the US S&P 500 Index. Brannigan starts by drawing our attention to the average initial balance in the Bund being 16 prices wide, but on the example day having increased to 26. Noting the wide initial balance alerts traders to excess volatility at the open and a high probability for the market to spend the remainder of the day trading within the initial balance. The biggest mistake trades make is to see the volatility and aggressively sell the lows expecting trend, instead of selling into strength. The second pattern is the Open Drive where the market extends for trend continuation. A key feature of this type of market environment is a failure to take out a previous 30 minute candle low - also known as "one time framing". Footprint Chart Trading: How To Trade Market Imbalances with Perfect Timing | Axia Futures

07:53
Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ In this footprint trading session Brannigan teaches how to identify market imbalances and why the footprint chart is the most significant tool for achieving this. A market imbalance is essentially where aggressive initiative steps in and tends to indicate trend and continuation. However, too much imbalance after a large move can also show a topping out effect. We see an imbalance example where a large difference occurs in one market rotation being more one-sided. This is symptomatic of a panic-type move where we see a surge in volume and shift in delta. The steps for trading market imbalances are as follows: Step 1 - Go with the imbalance Step 2 - If it fails, look for the filling out Step 3 - If it moves back through the imbalance, look for opposite sided opportunities Gain access to more than 50 streams like this per month with professional traders. How To Trade An Iceberg - Price Ladder Trading | Axia Futures

Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ In this trader training Alex leads an interactive mentored session on price ladder and order flow analysis. Keeping a close eye on the depth of market, Alex identified an ice-berg order type in the German 10 Year Bund and narrates how he read the price action. The key giveaway was when .37 kept reloading on the offer after large buy clips attempted to lift and lost ground. These types of order flow patterns are important to recognise as they offer great opportunity with tight risk control. Amateur Vs Professional Traders - Footprint Chart Trading | Axia Futures

18:24
Buy the Footprint Trading Course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/The-Footprint-Edge-Course/?af_id=6 The major difference between amateurs and professional traders is in their process and approach to trading markets. Brannigan's key observation in this difference is that amateurs tend to focus on levels while professional traders tend to combine levels with interaction. By developing confidence in understanding the interaction between buyers and sellers within a market, professional traders are able to apply leverage and manage risk with a high degree of proficiency. To further explain this point Brannigan uses an example from the German 10 Year Bund and shows how after the market gapped down it failed to reenter the previous day's range and created the context for short-side trades. We then look at the interaction between buyers and sellers as visualised on the footprint trading tool, which effectively enables precise timing for executing trade entries. In essence, the footprint chart slows down and summarizes the interaction as seen on the price ladder and helps you to identify shifts in interaction. To play the leverage game, you need to learn the art of risk management. And to learn the art of risk management, you need to first learn the art of interaction Learn more about our 8-Week Career Trading Course and get 3 Mentored Trading Lessons FREE: https://AxiaFutures.com/lp/Career-Trading-Course/?af_id=6 Gain access to more than 50 streams like this per month with professional traders. Footprint Chart Trading: Don't Short Another Market Until You See This | Axia Futures

03:46
Learn how to trade with the footprint chart trading tool here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/The-Footprint-Edge-Course/ This footprint chart trading session shows what active participation like on the footprint tool when initiative comes into a market. Brannigan draws our attention to the first test of a trend line where we see an increase in volume and a rise in negative delta. However, price was not responsive which is a sign of absorption having taken place. The second retest of the trend line occurred with low volume, sideways movement, a quick pierce of the trendline, and a bid back up. Finally, the third attempt is where we identify the clue that initiative is taking place and the market trades 10 000 contracts within 5 minutes, which contrasts greatly against the previous 45 minutes not even having done 20 000. Brannigan emphasizes that it is this type of change in activity that is highlighted with the footprint chart which can ultimately be used to get us out of the habit of buying or selling "levels" and rather only trade when real buyers or sellers steps in - because buyers and sellers are what move markets. Trading Psychology: How To Develop the Skill of Consistency | Axia Futures

11:25
Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ What is required to become consistent in your trading? In this trading psychology session Brannigan shares 6 steps to develop the skill of consistency. When it comes to trading, consistency isn't a noun, it's a verb. Therefore it's an active pursuit in order to learn and adopt this as a skill. Further, Bran argues that is likely the most important aspect of trading, and even life. Bran ends the session by sharing an example of how these steps show up in his debrief template process where he monitors 4 performance metrics. The following is a summary of Bran's 6 Steps to becoming consistent in trading: 1. Understand the why of consistency (vision, big picture) 2. Time-scale (habit), miss (start again) 3. Template (debrief) 4. Precise approach, varying intensity (run, swim, cycle / Bund / Spoo / Oil) 5. Motivation to stick to plan 6. Measurement performance Gain access to more than 50 streams like this per month with professional traders. That's a total of over 1500 mins at £96 per month, equaling just £1.92 per stream. 3 Rules For Trading Volatility | Axia Futures

07:22
Join our 8-Week Career Trading Course and get 3 Mentored Trading Lessons FREE: https://AxiaFutures.com/lp/Career-Trading-Course/?af_id=6 This trading tutorial with Brannigan looks at the mechanics of volatility and how to adjust your trading approach and improve consistency in a more volatile market environment. It isn't easy switching from a low to high level of volatility, therefore it is important to adjust and warm yourself up to the change in psychology of trading volatility. The three rules for adapting to a higher level of market volatility are: 1. Accept wider stops 2. Trade smaller size 3. Prevent over-trading Further, Brannigan notes that it is important to be cautious of fading levels and providing liquidity with limit order. Instead, a smarter approach is often to wait and observe the response and interaction between market participants at key levels. Brannigan's final tip is to stay with the flow as opposed to preempting. Gain access to more than 50 streams like this per month with professional traders. Footprint Chart Trading: How To Identify Absorption Buying in WTI Oil | Axia Futures

05:14
Learn how to trade with the footprint chart trading tool, start your trading course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/The-Footprint-Edge-Course/ This footprint trading review takes us through the later developments after a large move in the overnight session, how Brannigan formed a bias to short WTI Oil, and why there could be a powerful short-side opportunity in the sessions to come. To start we saw oil hold the break above its weekly high, get tested 3 times but continued to show a lack of commitment from sellers. An initial low volume response with little shift in delta was followed later by a high pick up in volume, delta shift and range expansion. This is a characteristic of absorption and has a unique identifier on the footprint trading tool and could be noted for future recognition. Further, this "pocket positioning" and shift in delta can be marked on the footprint as a zone on chart to keep an eye on for a future unwind in long positioning. Market Profile Trading: Using Objective Facts to Formulate Trading Hypothesis | Axia Futures

02:20
Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ In this market profile trader training session, Nicholas shows us how he formulates his early morning trading hypotheses using objective facts. He lists the facts revealed by the profile as follows: The German 10 Year Bund opened lower outside of value with a failure to close the gap above. A low volume anomaly sits lower within a prior day's range and holds the potential for being auctioned out as well as a repairing of a 5 TPO anomaly ledge. Those pieces of information offer basis for where the market may wish to explore for bearish trading. A close of the gap and move back up within the previous day's value area would trigger a bullish hypothesis. With a lack of a single prominent VPOC, a move higher could see a test of each high volume node and involve a fair deal of auctioning until establishing a prominent VPOC for the current day. Market Profile Trading: How To Trade The Failed Auction Setup | Axia Futures

07:24
Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ In this market profile trading session, Richard teaches the failed auction strategy, derived from volume profile analysis. With this trade strategy he emphasizes the importance of using shorter time frames for your day trading execution, which can offer you better opportunities to access larger context trade ideas. This example uses the German 10 Year Bund. A poor value area had formed in a prior day, giving us the expectation of potential to trade through the a poor VA to establish a fair price. The trade setup developed first with an open drive up to a VAH coinciding with a ledge and small wedge pattern. The Bund peaked above and failed to hold the auction above the first hour's initial balance. We saw a move back into the initial balance, adding further to the downside expectation. With the larger profile strategies and technical landscape providing context, we needed the shorter time frame to provide a day trading entry point. Had we waited for a 30min TPO close back inside the initial balance to confirm to trade, most of the move would have already been missed. However, the 5min chart gave us the clue with a shooting star candle pattern. Gain access to more than 50 streams like this per month with professional traders. How To Read The Strength Of A Breakout With Order Flow - Price Ladder Trading | Axia Futures

05:29
Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ Brannigan shows us an example of ideal price ladder order flow for a breakout in the British Pound Futures. One of the key premises for a successful breakout is a pick up in speed, velocity and volume. Brannigan notes that the price level to be aware of in this breakout is 1.3232 and that these conditions are met. However, if you miss the break, the next thing to be looking for is the first retracement and the interaction between buyers and sellers. From a low of 1.3212, GBPUSD retraces back up to the 30s to try retest 34 but quickly gets hit back down. A lesson from this trader training is a rule of thumb for a retrace being that the market should never reward you with the actual break price. We should rather observe sellers being so eager to get into the market that they aggressively front-run the price level. Market Profile Trading: The Subtle Differences in High & Low Volume Nodes vs. Areas | Axia Futures

06:37
Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ Richard gives a mentored trader training session on trading strategies for volume and market profiles. This session covers the difference between high volume and low volume areas versus volume nodes. These can both act as support and resistance as well as targets, but with subtle difference when reading and interpreting. Richard notes that he likes using these market identifiers on longer time frames and during fast moves. Both of these cases tend to give stronger reaction points. High volume nodes are typically in play when a market seems to stop in the middle of nowhere, while low volume nodes often coincide with previous highs and lows and can sometimes be found sandwiched between high volume nodes and areas. On the other hand, support and resistance can be harder to determine within high and low volume areas. In these cases we often see markets clear through the area. Low volume areas tend to fill it out with high volume and time spent chopping around within, and vice versa for high volume areas. 5 Principles To Identify Auction And Absorption - Footprint Chart Trading | Axia Futures

16:26
Buy the Footprint Trading Course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/The-Footprint-Edge-Course/?af_id=6 This footprint trading session with Brannigan looks at two questions asked by viewers: 1) How do you identify auction and absorption on the Footprint? and 2) How do you execute as a trade strategy? Brannigan explains that while there are clear principles for identifying absorption and auctioning activity, every trader's execution strategy will be unique to them, but shares his personal approach using the footprint chart. The 5 principles to identify absorption and auction are: 1. Passive vs aggressive (the switch in price response) 2. Responsive vs initiative price action 3. Volume 4. Delta 5. Price response Brannigan uses an example from the S&P 500 futures market on the 28th January 2019, drilling down from the daily chart to the 60 minutes and then the 5 minute time-frame. Keep in mind that real absorption and initiative are large time-frame plays, therefore daily volume needs to above average, it is or more likely to be a consolidation. Quick Scalp When A Large Order Jumps Around The Book - Price Ladder Trading | Axia Futures

04:18
Buy the Price Ladder & Order Flow Trading Course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/Trading-with-Order-Flow/?af_id=6 Richard shows us a quick order flow scalping trade that appeared in the Dax when a large order entered the book and began shifting closer towards market price. In the context of delta increasing, there were two possible trading opportunities. First was to front-run and sell ahead of the order, but the second, and better one to execute was to go long as the order was finally filled. We see that as the size came onto the price ladder it started to move closer to market price, revealing that someone was willing to move the market in order to get filled. With other traders front-running the order the market shifted lower, but once filled allowed a quick reversal to occur as shorts were closed and the market bought back up. This type of insight is what makes price ladder trading and reading order flow so powerful. Only by reading the depth of market are you able to identify these types of trading opportunities, which can never be taken advantage of on a traditional candlestick chart. 5 Signs Of A Trend Day - Market Profile & Footprint Chart Trading | Axia Futures

16:06
Buy the Footprint Trading Course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/The-Footprint-Edge-Course/?af_id=6 What are the defining characteristics of a trend day? Brannigan shares a story about how early on in his trading career he used to consistently lose money on trend days, but the experience ultimately forced him to develop a set of rules and characteristics to recognise and profit from them. These main characteristics of a trend day are: 1. Volume & volatility. When and where it occurs is important. 2. Delta. This shows the net interaction between buyers and sellers and should accumulate in the direction of the trend at points of continuation. 3. How price responds. Is the market grinding, swinging or directional? 4. The market leaves low volume areas where trade is unable to be facilitated. For example, if the market is moving higher and leaves a low volume area, those prices are deemed to have been at a discount by the buyers. 5. The nature of price overlap - the degree to which prices overlap is important in defining what might occur next in how the market progresses its move. Brannigan uses an example in EURUSD Futures on 21 September 2018, and notes that how you execute once recognising a trend day will depend on the defining characteristics present in the market. Footprint Trading: The Secret Tool Professional Traders Use For Confident Executions | Axia Futures

14:09
Learn how to trade with the footprint chart trading tool, start your trading course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/The-Footprint-Edge-Course/ In this mentored trading session, Brannigan gives a workshop on how to trade with the footprint chart. The first thing to understand is that every coloured box is called a "rotation" and can be set to display as a point-and-figure, imbalance, or time-based chart. Each market rotation shows the actual volume being traded between buyers and sellers, but the colour scheming is what gives the tool its edge. When you see darker shades appear, this signals a shift in the market interactions, which is what causes markets to move - the physical interaction, not the pictures in the charts. To get better trade executions, we must then wait for this objective fact to appear and tell us that a shift has occurred. Brannigan gives us a few examples of when to use the footprint trading tool. Breakouts are notorious for false breaks and chopping around a level, while a good breakout typically sustains continuous interaction, which is what the footprint chart shows us. On the two extremes we have lagging trading tools, like price charts and market profiles, which are very subjective, and on the other side we have leading tools, like the level 3 bookmap and the price ladder, which are very prone to noise and spoofing. We cannot be objective when we can't explicitly decipher what is real. However, the footprint trading tool is based on facts and therefore gives professional traders the confidence in their execution. Bran also gives example of a flag breakout in the Dax, as well as strategies from the AXIA Footprint Course: the Hiding Behind the Elephant strategy in WTI Oil, and the Accumulation-Distribution strategy. Order Flow Replay Of An Absorption Reversal - Price Ladder Trading | Axia Futures

07:28
Buy the Price Ladder & Order Flow Trading Course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/Trading-with-Order-Flow/?af_id=6 This price ladder trading session with Richard looks at an absorption reversal in the Bund, squeezing out traders selling short at the lows. The trade sets up with a pre-cash morning move higher, followed by an initiative sell straight off the cash open. Richard explains how 71 became a key level for a break and move lower to 66, and a continuation further to 34. However, instead of continuing to sell, we see an order flow pattern that has repeated over the past few days where buyers step in and absorb at the lows. Although the selling came in heavy through the break of 71 and saw the market trade 1000 lots into the low, the selling suddenly disappears. As it the market bids back up, no fresh sellers are willing to initiate lower, and when traders finally try sell the bounce, the offer only holds for a moment and continues to go back bid. This causes short sellers to start covering, which adds to the buying that finally comes in, making for a great absorption-reversal trade. 3 Ways To Confirm Support & Resistance - Footprint Chart Trading | Axia Futures

16:51
Buy the Footprint Trading Course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/The-Footprint-Edge-Course/?af_id=6 Why does support and resistance sometimes work while not at other times? In this footprint trading session Brannigan looks at how to identify real support and resistance, and why these levels are not just lines, but rather areas where buyers or sellers repeatedly interact to hold prices a number of times. The first example of confirming support and resistance is with the key auction reversal footprint strategy in the WTI oil market. The second example is of support or resistance being broken. and reversing to its polar opposite. Branningan notes the importance of being patient for the market to return and retest the level to see buyers or seller having replaced the the other in their interaction dominance at the level. The third example of confirming support or resistance is the footprint pattern of an elephant order or ice-berg order absorbing a level. When it comes to breakouts and reversals, the footprint chart is the ultimate tool because it gives you the earliest clues of changes taking place in a market, and most importantly it shows you the real interaction at key levels, instead of merely guessing. Using this tool not only gives you better clues of when to buy or sell, it improves your the timing of you execution so that you can leverage up your trading while minimizing risk. Trader Training: The Methodology to Execute One-Time Framing Trade Strategy | Axia Futures

05:37
Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ In this mentored trader training session Brannigan teaches a strategy for trading a one time framing market. One time framing can be defined as not taking out the opposite extreme of the prior candle and needs three or more candles to be considered in effect. The more consecutive candles you have, the more initiative present in the market. This trade strategy is therefore initiative in one direction, but not outright initiative. It is progressive, building energy over time as participants become more aggressive with their entries. With the the market not allowing anyone in easily, this leads to more people piling in at the extreme. It also doesn't let anyone out easily who's in the opposite direction. Through this process, the initiative participants run into a liquidity trap of not finding the liquidity they need and finally turn more aggressive. In this trade strategy it is important to note the shallow pull backs and the continuation extensions. With this in mind, the biggest mistake traders make with executing this strategy is entering aggressively. Rather let your entries be passive. It's only towards the end that you find the explosive aggressive flush, which is often precisely when you should be exiting. How To Recognize Panic in Price Action - Price Ladder Trading | Axia Futures

08:08
Buy the Price Ladder & Order Flow Trading Course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/Trading-with-Order-Flow/?af_id=6 Understanding the nature of a market move and why a certain area is important allows you to anticipate how it might play out and what type of price action you are likely to observe. Richard explains that the context for this move followed on from a move up on a Friday, to then consolidate and form a b-shaped market profile. Shorts had been driven out of the market while longs started to accumulate, but thereby created the potential structure for a head and shoulders reversal. A move back below the 52-54 area then held the possibility for panic selling as longs needed to exit their positions. Replaying the price ladder shows how when the market finally approached the area, large offers appeared on the price ladder and remained heavy as sellers stacked their orders while chasing the market down. This is typical of a b-shaped day and is a pattern to lookout for in future market moves, especially in relation to the order flow. The Short Squeeze & Long Liquidation Explained - Trade Strategies | Axia Futures

17:46
Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ What is a short squeeze and a long liquidation? How do they occur, and more importantly, how do you make money from them? This trading strategy session with Brannigan answers these questions and defines the strategy while using multiple examples from various markets. The textbook definition of a short squeeze is: a rapid increase in the price of an asset when there is a lack of supply and excess demand. The squeeze results from short sellers covering their positions in the asset and leads to buying volume that drives the price higher. One of the key ideas to trading a short squeeze (or long liquidation) is that given that nothing has changed fundamentally in the context of a large price movement, we should then see a mean reversion in the asset's price. Brannigan illustrates the trade strategy further using examples in the VW stock, the XIV (which no longer trades), the US T-Note, Italian BTP, and the US 2-10 yield curve. Trading Psychology: How To Stop Overtrading | Axia Futures

10:21
Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ Most traders will face the problem of overtrading at some point in their trading careers. In this trading psychology session Brannigan shares a process for tackling the underlying problem that causes this behaviour. The common solution for overtrading is to put a few rules in place that serve as a barrier from making this mistake. However, these barriers tend to yield short term results and do not lead to actually overcoming the underlying problem. An alternative strategy is to implement a marginal gains based process. This type of approach breaks the problem down into its core elements. For example, Brannigan lists his root causes of overtrading to be a lack of preparation, impulsiveness, too much noise, and a lack of trust. By enforcing a process that leads to a percentage of marginal gains on each element, the overall problem soon improves. It's also important to exercise trial and error with this approach, as each solution that you come up with be unique to you as a trader. Further, the wisdom you'll gain from a trial and error approach and looking into yourself will not only lead to gains in your trading, but will extend throughout your life. Footprint Chart Trading: The Best Tool For Trading Breakouts | Axia Futures

04:42
Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ In this footprint trading session, Brannigan shows us how the footprint chart can be used to pin-point subtle shifts in market participation and gain better trading execution, especially when it comes to breakout trades. The given example was the breakout from a tripple inside day pattern in the gold market. Brannigan emphasizes that the footprint chart is one of the best tools for identifying a sudden change before a breakout, as breakouts tend to happen when large participants step in and initiate higher or lower prices. In this gold example we see that the market went into a sideways range right above the breakout level, yet we observe on the footprint chart a total lack of initiative at the low end of that range. Then suddenly an imbalance occurs across three prices where we see larger, influential sellers committing to lower prices. This gives sticks out like a sore thumb on the footprint, and when identified can offer you an edge in your trade execution. Entering A Breakout Above A Volume Dip - Price Ladder Trading | Axia Futures

09:48
Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ In this price ladder trading analysis Richard replays a breakout in the Bund with details on methods of executing your entry and exit. The setup was formed by the previous day's drop leading into a range and creation of a ledge. This gave a basis for an area likely to be broken. To preemptively enter the trade one could be positioning from within the boxed range or during the breakout around the 55-56 price area. The target on the trade was back through the initial balance and up to 74-81. After the break above 46, the key was to wait to see initiative, after which there was a quick push through to 50-51. If you missed the entry at this point on the break then a second point of entry was ahead of the dip in volume at 52-53. Your stop would be back below 51. To exit the trade, the key is to see the last bit of panic, characterized by the market flickering around and taking out multiple prices at once with heavier volume stepping in on the offer. How To Trade A V-Reversal - Footprint Chart Trading | Axia Futures

14:09
Buy the Footprint Trading Course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/The-Footprint-Edge-Course/?af_id=6 This footprint chart session looks at how to trade a V-reversal, also known as a key auction reversal. This trade setup appears as a V as a result of aggressive selling being met by equal and opposite buying. Characteristics: 1. Equal and opposite (initiative to initiative) 2. High volume - large time frame participants 3. Delta reversal - aggressive shift form one extreme to the other 4. Initiative to Implications going forward: 1. Continue in the direction - high probability 2. Stop run through - if trading below the V-reversal Strategy: 1. Day 2 continuation 2. Re-test of absorption zone Brannigan uses an example from the Italian 10 Year BTP bond on the 19 October 2018 and highlights a few key takeaways. First is to note the aggressive initiative that can be identified appears by one time-framing movement and a lack of overlap. Then an expected breakout lacked volume and was followed by a stop-run and delta reversal. The market then traded sideways as accumulation took place until finally a breakout occurred and saw the market trade higher. How To Read The Footprint Chart - Advanced Trading Tutorial | Axia Futures

16:59
Get the Footprint Trading Course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/The-Footprint-Edge-Course/?af_id=6 This footprint chart trading session looks at multiple auction patterns in the gold market on 02 August 2018. Brannigan specifically looks at how to develop actual versus expected outcomes by learning how to read the footprint chart and interactions at key market turning points. A number of auction patterns are highlighted on the footprint: during this market review: imbalances , aggressive participant interaction, stops being hit, increases in volume and volatility, absorption, two-way trade, a V-reversal, and a setup for a failed continuation. A main takeaway from this footprint trading analysis is the significance of buyers and sellers interacting with high volume at market turning points. These become important reference points around which positioning is created and unwound when broken through, such as during the NFP example. Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ This trading psychology session looks at why so many traders fail in the business of trading, even though they started out with so much enthusiasm. At the heart of it, Brannigan explains that it comes down to discipline, as that is what ensures long-run success. Discipline is a skill that needs to be developed over time. To develop the skill, you must know what work and steps are required. Brannigan's list can be summarised into the following 8 points: 1. Routine 2. Preparation 3. Organisation 4. Execution 5. Focus 6. Dedication / Motivation 7. Consistency 8. Learning from Errors If you turn these 8 points into check boxes to tick off each day, within 6 months you will notice the differences and find yourself to be a better trader. How To Track Accumulation With Delta & Passive Orders - Price Ladder Trading | Axia Futures

05:22
Buy the Price Ladder & Order Flow Trading Course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/Trading-with-Order-Flow/?af_id=6 Richard reviews a price ladder replay in EURUSD and shows a unique way of identifying passive accumulation with divergent changes in delta and order flow activity. Large drops in delta occurred as a result of selling pressure in the market, but with prices not following lower we can interpret this to mean that buyers absorbed within the price range while short positioning continued to develop. Looking over to the price ladder we can observe how large passive orders consistently sat on the bid with sudden dips in delta as bids were hit and orders filled. However, without a move lower, short positioning became vulnerable to a break higher and unwinding as the market broke out of the trading range. Interpreting order flow on the price ladder in context of the larger developing picture is an important step to take to further understand market positioning and trading opportunities that develop as a result of vulnerable positioning. 3 Signs To Cut & Reverse A Trade - Price Ladder Trading | Axia Futures

06:37
Get the Price Ladder & Order Flow Trading Course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/Trading-with-Order-Flow/?af_id=6 Richard reviews how to execute a cut and reverse trade after seeing signs that a trading hypothesis is beginning to fail. The reviewed example is from the Dax and initially started as a short from the 78 accumulation area with a stop above the high. The 3 signs that things were looking to go the other way were: 1. Selling continued to get absorbed and stalled out, while a bid kept reappearing 2. The drops lower gradually became more shallow and eventually moved back above an area of high volume 3. The volume area at price on the price ladder then turned orange and VPOC shifted up higher to the 78 area The final execution technique was to see the high taken out and leave an area of low volume, allowing your stop to be placed back below the high and the low volume area. Learning to trade order flow on the price ladder lets you pick up on these subtle clues early on and to begin planning for when a cut and reverse trade might come into effect and how to execute the trade. The five trading strategies can be found in The Footprint Edge Course on the Axia Futures website and are titled as follows: 1. Absorption & Auctioning 2. Auction Imbalances 3. The Initial Drive 4. Footprint Delta Position Unwind 5. Key Auction Reversal The footprint chart is a unique trading tool as it visually shows you what occurred at each traded price and helps to understand the positioning being built by market participants. Learning to use the footprint chart will give you the ability to recognise absorption, large time participants, liquidity hunts, stop-runs and so much more. While there are 10 trading strategies in the footprint course, to be successful in your trading, you only need to master one. The Exhaustion Reversal - Trade Strategies | Axia Futures

17:02
Get the Footprint Trading Course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/The-Footprint-Edge-Course/?af_id=6 One of the disadvantages of only looking at a price chart is that you miss out on what actually created a high or low, which ultimately determines what you can expect to see when the market returns to that level. The problem most traders are then left with is simply playing "support" and "resistance" levels with inconsistent results. On the other hand, the footprint chart allows you to analyse the interactions between buyers and sellers and analyse how a reversal is made. There are three types of reversals observed on the footprint chart: the key auction reversal, the exhaustion reversal, and the absorption reversal. This footprint trading session with Brannigan looks at the The Exhuastion Reversal. The main criteria for a successful Exhaustion Reversal are: 1. Change in volume 2. Support and resistance 3. Low volume becomes high volume The basic theory behind the Exhaustion Reversal is that the whole market ends up on side i.e. long into the high, with lots of activity taking place towards the end of the move. The market then drifts off, which implies that traders are taking profits and putting on speculative shorts - which is different from major sellers entering the market. The given example is in the GBPUSD Futures on the 22nd and 23rd of August. The Trading Career Timeline And Importance Of Patience | Axia Futures

It's easy to look at traders who execute well and not consider that they went through a rigorous process of reinventing themselves before getting to where they are. In this trader training video Bran uses Usain Bolt as an example of how a top performer is not made overnight, but after years of dedicated practice with many ups and downs. Drawing on experience of mentoring and trading alongside many traders over his career, Bran then outlines the common development cycle for budding traders. 2 Ways A Market High & Low Are Formed - Footprint Chart Trading | Axia Futures

08:11
This footprint trading session looks at how to interpret the strength and significance of a market high or low, and thereby its probability of being held or taken out in the future. This is one of the advantages of trading with the footprint chart. While a traditional candlestick chart will merely show you the market's highs and lows, it doesn't offer you any insight into how the high or low was formed by the interaction between participants. An auctioned low is formed when a combination of sellers take profits and buyers simultaneous begin buying the market. This is a clear switch over from net selling to net buying. On the other hand, an exhaustion extreme, such as a low, shows no aggression from buyers to bid the market up, and instead sits in a range for a while before moving higher. As a rule of thumb, exhaustion highs and lows tend to be "bad" and are taken out in the future, while auctioned highs and lows have higher probabilities of holding for a period of time. The illustrated examples are taken from the crude oil market on 16 July 2018. Executing Using Footprint Chart As Your Guide - Footprint Chart Trading | Axia Futures

05:56
While trading live, Brannigan shows how he uses the footprint chart to get a clearer sense of the order flow and execute on the price ladder. In this trader training video the market in focus is the Eurostoxx 50. The offer holds 3552 and 53, but the buyer has been passively absorbing. Bran observes the offer being pulled and wants to see 53 lift and 54 go bid in order to give a stronger indication of good price action to be involved in. The most important thing to observe is the real transactive volume. Using Price Action to "Get Big" Before the Key Breakout - Price Ladder Trading | Axia Futures

05:03
Watch the full video on a free two week trial at https://www.AxiaFutures.com/ In this highlight from the Price Ladder & Order Flow Trading stream with Joe, he shows us an example of how he manages his size when going on and off side by knowing the key pivots in the price ladder. The replay begins after some aggressive clipping down in the Bund from prices 161.16 to 161.14. Joe has his core position on at 14 and waits to attack through 10 while reading the order flow. He explains that by observing the market churn at 12 it becomes an important reference level for accumulated positions. He has some concern when a small reloader shows up at 11 and lifts 12 with small size, but with the offer holds 12 and 13, we then see a retreat to 10 where Joe attacks the bid with another clip. At this point his average price shifts to 13 which gives him a good position in terms of risk-reward and knowing to cover - back above 12. Trading the price ladder and honing your order flow skills develops your ability to pin point your execution and get the tightest risk-reward positions. The Open Drive Strategy Explained - Trade Strategies | Axia Futures

13:42
Join our 8-Week Career Trading Course and get 3 Mentored Trading Lessons FREE: https://AxiaFutures.com/lp/Career-Trading-Course/?af_id=6 This trading strategy session looks at two variations of the open drive strategy with execution using the footprint chart. Brannigan notes that the key feature of the open drive strategy is that it takes place straight off the open of the cash market. Essentially this is caused by a large time frame participant having decided prior to the open to execute in one direction and needs the liquidity provided by the cash session. A summary of the distinct variables to be aware of when executing the Open Drive Strategy are: - Liquidity takers - Delta accumulation - Volume increases - Price direction - Waves determined by liquidity provisions Brannigan then reviews two examples and variations of the open drive strategy in the S&P 500 from 17 September 2018. The footprint trading tool is of great value when executing this strategy as it helps determine which of two types of open drive are taking place. How To Identify Absorption - Footprint Chart Trading | Axia Futures

12:18
Buy the Footprint Trading Course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/The-Footprint-Edge-Course/?af_id=6 This footprint chart trading session looks at a crude oil trade idea tweeted by Brannigan on 26 November 2018. To illustrate the thinking behind the trade we look at the signs of identifying absorption on the footprint chart and the context in which it appeared. An important takeaway from stream is the difference between patterns and strategies, is similar to the difference between a scenario and a plan of execution. Strategy then is how you plan to react and execute at certain trigger points in the context of a trading scenario. The first step is to learn how to observe patterns and the second step is knowing how to execute effectively. This particular stream shows the context of the WTI Oil market displaying a pattern of bidding up after exceeding the daily average range with a move to the downside. The 60 minute footprint chart then helps to identify a pattern of absorption with prices being held steady while showing negative delta. In essence, this reveals the presence of buyers holding the market and providing liquidity while selling pressure is absorbed. Reload Continuation Order Flow Over NFP - Price Ladder Trading | Axia Futures

04:37
Buy the Price Ladder & Order Flow Trading Course here: https://AxiaFutures.com/course/Trading-with-Order-Flow/?af_id=6 This price ladder trading session looks at the order flow price action in the S&P 500 over Non-Farm Payrolls. The S&P500 has become more sensitive to fundamental data with the pick up in volatility and has seen fast moves at the start of the U.S. NFP reports. However, the best trade opportunities have often presented themselves after the initial reaction. We see the order book thicken up and liquidity come back into the order flow after the report showed strong job creation and lower inflation. With this in mind, a continuation of the move was expected and showed up with a "reload continuation". Identifying this type of order flow gives you an entry point to join the refreshing bid. We see how a reloader in the S&P kept bringing their orders up to the bid in an effort to get filled. When order weren't able to be filled, buyers came to market and lifted prices higher, and resumed the pattern of reloading. Only when this pattern ended were the offers able to push prices back down, which was the signal to exit the trade. Gain access to more than 50 streams like this per month with professional traders.
