This is a 10 seconds up to two-hour timer switch. The 14-stage binary ripple counter Type 4060, IC1, has an on-chip oscillator capable of stable operation over a relatively wide frequency range. In the present circuit, the oscillator frequency is determined by an external RC network connected to pins 9, 10 and 11. Light-emitting diode D1 is included merely to show that the timer works.

There are many different Led Chaser circuits, and most of them use one integrated circuit for the sequence ( typically CD4017 ) and another for the clock ( 555 ) . This led chaser uses only one chip for both functions. CD4060 is a 14 stage ripple binary counter with an integrated on-chip oscillator section. Decoding is accomplished with simple diode gates (DTL). Output transistors can drive up to 30 leds per channel.

Индикатор расхода CD4060BE, Снятый с трупа и нормально контуженный Импулсы с форсунки заставляют его дрыгать ногами,поджигать диоды и чего-то там подсчитывать. Время от времени всё это считалово надоедает и он падает в оморок (reset).Он ведь старый и больной.да ещё и контуженный.Ну мы с ним ровесники наверно. Я притворился миккроконтролёром взял timer и стал смотреть как долго контужеенный драгает ногами. Получилось 00:00:38:88 Тогда я уже подключил капельницу(HHO) и опять притворился микроконтролёром. Контуженный продержался 00:00:41:08 2 секунды естественно никакой экономией не являются Моно списать на сенсорный дисплей Samsung Galaxy или на мою заторможенность,но я теперь точно знаю, что 6 амперная гидрогеновая капельница на хх оборотах форсунку не ускорила. резюме я жму на газ,в трубу попадает дерьмо и у кислородного датчика подпрыгивает давление. И он мне поджигает крайние красные диоды. 0.6-0.7-0.8 вольта.Таким образом если кому охота смотреть на как в трубу вылетает дерьмо,то моно вместо форсунки подключиться к кислородному

This is to show a few people what I am doing with a wired-up 4060 chip to make some airship thrusters look like they are pulsating/vibrating. Using a variable resitor you can dial the blink-rate up or down. Apparantly the hi-blink rate doesn't show up in the video. Damn.

I made this circuit using - 1) 4060 Binary Counter/Oscillator/Frequency Divider IC 2) 7408 AND gate IC 3) 4511 7 segment driver IC 4) Common Cathode 7 Segment LED 5) 1KOhm (7), 10kOhm (1) and 100KOhm (1) Resistors 6) 10 Micro Farad Capacitor (Non Polar will also work. 1) Feel free to change resistor between pin 9 and 10 on 4060. It will change the counter duration. Keep resistor between pin 9 and 11 10 times more than the other resistor. Feel free to ask any doubts. I'll make a tutorial in the near future. This video shows the frequency measured on the oscilloscope after leaving the 4060 IC and the D-Type flip flop. Channel 1 shows the 2 Hz frequency coming out of the 14-bit binary counter chip and channel 2 shows the 1 Hz frequency after going through the "divide-by-two" D flip flop.

Note: this is an old video. I ditched the idea of a time delay, because it lets the drive heat up before it cools. The heating and coolling is perhaps as worse as heat itself (thermal stress(micro expansion/contraction in the ICs etc). Anyhow it was fun building it. Sometimes you just need to just do it to understand the problem better even if you fail. What I have now is a 12V fan connected to 5V. It helps the otherwhise poor convection a lot. I built a delay circuit to go in-line with the fan power cable. The fan was installed in the drive. Leaving the drive on for too long can kill the IC's in it. Adding a fan can drag dust over the floppy and drive mechanism. With the delayed start of the fan, in my case, the fan will probably never start because I switch it off before it starts, however if I forget to switch the drive off then the fan will save the drive. In the video I get about 47 minute delay. The 40x40x10mm fan was mounted inside the Commodore 1541 case, but a 50x50x10mm will fit. I will try that next. Power was taken from the large cap before to the 5V regulator (ca 11V unregulated). Conclusion and temperature measurements at the end of the video. CD4060 is best, CD4017 also the best, cd4060 will make field and cd4017 will count! but cd4017 output not connected to 7segment! connected to LED bargraph to detect EMF when threshold stability change but short waves, then number of led will change and we will know field coming to Antenna or intercom pin.

This is part of a larger project intended to produce a nixie tube clock. The left hand of the circuit is the timebase, controlled by a 4.194304MHz quartz crystal oscillator and a 4521 frequency divider.
