Let's say you want to apply snake scales to the tapered body of a snake would array be able to scaled them down without any distortion or is there a technique that could easily achieve this in zbrush?

At the bottom of Array Mesh is a "make mesh" button, that'll convert all of the instances to useable geo

I hope this gets noticed, but I am currently having an issue with the Array Mesh function. I am trying to get extrusion between each of the pieces, but instead of having the repeated mesh pieces be set in a circle, they are just offset in a straight line. I have made sure that both connecting ends have the same polygroup, but there still isn't any extrusion going on. Do you know how to fix this?

Thank you very much for the reply, however I had managed to discover the issue and rectified it. The issue was that the polygroups that were supposed to extrude to each other had non-rectangular polygons. Initially, the linked areas were not filled at all, then hastily filled, making a surface made of triangles. Remeshing and then extruding helped to make the extrusion possible.

hmmm...it's hard for me to say without a picture, but if your offsets are in a straight line, you'll have to switch to rotate and change those values (make sure to set your pivot as well) in order for them to go in a circle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vwed-nHyGGc
